چکیده

In this paper, we studied the liquid-vapor phase diagram and structural properties of discrete potential fluids using Gibbs ensemble simulations integral equations theory. For this, considered three fluids, namely, square well, well-barrier, well-barrier-well. They represent simple models for with competing interactions that exhibit a rich microscopic macroscopic behavior depending on both strength range attractions repulsions in potential. Here, emphasized near liquid- vapor coexistence. well-barrier fluid, observed possible scenario separation associated cluster-like formation critical region, which could be interpreted as frustration mechanism transition when either or repulsion increases. This microscopic- like can inhibited by suppressing adding an extra well to interaction However, fluid long-range potential, found evidence aggregation driven solely attractions.

Nucleation in A/B/AB blends: interplay between microphase assembly and macrophase separation.
We study the interplay between microphase assembly and macrophase separation in A/B/AB ternary polymer blends by examining the free energy of localized fluctuation structures (micelles or droplets), with emphasis on the thermodynamic relationship between swollen micelles (microemulsion) and the macrophase-separated state, using self-consistent field theory and an extended capillary model. Upon ...

Discrete, Circulation-Preserving, and Stable Simplicial Fluids
Visual quality, low computational cost, and numerical stability are foremost goals in computer animation. An important ingredient in achieving these goals is the conservation of fundamental motion invariants. For example, rigid and deformable body simulation has benefited greatly from conservation of linear and angular momenta. In the case of fluids, however, none of the current techniques focu...
متن کاملEffective Interactions, Structure, and Phase Behavior of Lightly Tethered Nanoparticles in Polymer Melts
We have generalized the microscopic polymer reference interaction site model (PRISM) theory to study the structure and phase behavior of polymer-tethered spherical nanoparticles in a dense homopolymer melt. In the absence of a polymer matrix, fluids of such hybrid nanoparticles show strong concentration fluctuations indicative of aggregate formation and/or a tendency for microphase separation a...
متن کاملAntioxidant potential of i.v. fluids.
In acute clinical settings where there may be a role for antioxidant therapy, patients receive large amounts of i.v. fluids which may have antioxidant activity. To investigate such effects the antioxidant capacity of nine i.v. fluids was measured (Gelofusine, Haemaccel, 20% mannitol, 4.5% human albumin solution, fresh frozen plasma, aprotinin, N-acetylcysteine and two hydroxyethyl starch soluti...
